He is an international authority on diesel and gas engines, basic and applied thermal sciences and all aspects of turbomachinery. His industry experience includes Executive Vice President for the Engine Corporation of America in Long Beach, California, and Senior Design Engineer in the Marine Seismic Engineering Group of Texas Instruments, Dallas. He also served as a Design Engineer for LTV Vought Aeronautics, Dallas. Dr. Jenkins received a B.S.(M.E.) from the University of Kansas, an M.S.(M.E.) from Southern Methodist University, and his Ph.D. from Purdue University. He also earned an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and an I.E.M. from Harvard University. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), as well as a member of several honorary and professional organizations including New York Academy of Sciences, Pi Tau Sigma, Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), National Society of professional Engineers (NSPE), American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Airconditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). He is a registered professional engineer.
